Starbucks Strawberry Oreo Cheesecake Frappuccino: Indulge in Blended Bliss at Home!

By Jason Griffith

Craving that dreamy, creamy, and utterly decadent Strawberry Oreo Cheesecake Frappuccino from Starbucks but want to whip it up in your own kitchen? Look no further! This copycat recipe brings all the luscious flavors of a no-bake cheesecake, fresh strawberries, and crunchy Oreos into a frosty, blended delight. It’s the perfect sweet treat to cool down on a hot day, satisfy a serious dessert craving, or impress your friends with a homemade café creation!

Why I Love This Recipe

I’m a huge fan of recreating my favorite coffee shop treats at home, and this Starbucks Strawberry Oreo Cheesecake Frappuccino is a prime example of how easy and delicious it can be. What I absolutely adore is the way it combines so many of my favorite things into one glorious, sippable dessert: the creamy tang of cheesecake, the sweet burst of fresh strawberries, and the addictive crunch of Oreo cookies. It’s incredibly refreshing, feels utterly indulgent, and is completely customizable. Plus, skipping the drive-thru line and saving a few dollars makes it even sweeter!

Ingredients:

For the Cheesecake Base:

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup milk (dairy, almond, or vanilla-flavored non-dairy)
  • ¼ cup cream cheese (softened, full-fat recommended)
  • ½ cup vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
  • 2–3 tablespoons fresh or blended strawberry syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1–2 teaspoons graham cracker crumbs (optional, for extra cheesecake crust flavor)

For the Strawberry Swirl:

  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or honey
  • Optional: a drop of red food coloring for vibrant swirls

For Toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Strawberry drizzle (more fresh strawberry syrup)
  • Graham cracker crumbs or mini cheesecake bites (optional)

Swaps and Notes

  • Milk: Any type of milk works here – dairy milk (whole or 2%) for creaminess, or almond/vanilla almond milkfor a lighter base. Vanilla-flavored milk enhances the taste.
  • Cream Cheese: Ensure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for smooth blending and no lumps. Full-fat cream cheese provides the best richness.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt: Either works well. Vanilla ice cream offers more decadence, while frozen yogurt makes it slightly lighter.
  • Strawberry Syrup: Use a good quality fresh strawberry syrup. You can make your own by blending fresh strawberries with a touch of sugar and straining, or use a good store-bought version.
  • Oreos: Original Oreos are perfect for crushing. You can use golden Oreos for a vanilla-based “cheesecake” flavor.
  • Graham Cracker Crumbs: These add to the “cheesecake crust” authenticity.
  • Strawberry Swirl: For the best, vibrant swirl, use fresh strawberries for the puree. The food coloring is optional but enhances the visual appeal.
  • Sweetener: Adjust the amount of sugar/honey in the strawberry swirl based on the sweetness of your strawberries.
  • Consistency: Adjust ice and milk to achieve your desired thickness. For a thicker frappuccino, use more ice. For a thinner one, add more milk.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Use plant-based milk (almond, oat, soy), dairy-free cream cheese alternative, and dairy-free vanilla ice cream/frozen yogurt.

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Strawberry Swirl: In a small blender or food processor, combine the ¼ cup fresh or frozen strawberries with 1 teaspoon sugar or honey. Blend until smooth. If desired, add a drop of red food coloring for more vibrant swirls. Set aside.

2. Blend the Cheesecake Base: In a high-speed blender, add all the ingredients for the cheesecake base: 1 cup ice cubes, ½ cup milk (dairy, almond, or vanilla), ¼ cup softened cream cheese, ½ cup vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, 2–3 tablespoons fresh or blended strawberry syrup, 2 crushed Oreo cookies, and 1–2 teaspoons graham cracker crumbs (optional). Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick. If it’s too thick to blend, add a splash more milk (about 1 tablespoon at a time) until it blends to a thick, creamy, frappuccino consistency.

3. Assemble the Frappuccino: Grab your serving glass (a tall clear glass works best to show off the layers). Drizzle some of the prepared strawberry swirl sauce around the inside of the glass, letting it run down the sides. Pour the blended strawberry Oreo cheesecake base into the glass.

4. Add Toppings: Generously top your Frappuccino with a big swirl of whipped cream. Sprinkle with more crushed Oreos for crunch. Drizzle with more strawberry swirl sauce or a dedicated strawberry drizzle. Optionally, add extra graham cracker crumbs or even a few mini cheesecake bites on top for ultimate indulgence.

5. Serve Immediately: Serve your homemade Starbucks Strawberry Oreo Cheesecake Frappuccino immediately with a straw and a spoon. Enjoy this decadent, frosty treat!

Tips for Success

  • Softened Cream Cheese: Crucial for a smooth, lump-free base.
  • High-Speed Blender: A good blender is key to achieving that smooth, icy, yet creamy frappuccino texture.
  • Adjust Thickness: Control the consistency by adding ice for thicker, or milk for thinner.
  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the base mixture before adding toppings. You might want more strawberry flavor, sweetness, or a stronger cheesecake tang.
  • Chill Your Glass (Optional): For an extra frosty experience, chill your serving glass in the freezer for a few minutes before assembling.
  • Serve Immediately: Frappuccinos melt quickly, so enjoy right after blending.
