It’s the news fast-food fans have been waiting for: KFC is officially bringing back its iconic Potato Wedges and Hot & Spicy Wings. Starting Monday, August 18, 2025, customers across the nation will be able to get their hands on these two fan-favorite items.
The return comes after years of public demand, social media campaigns, and heartfelt pleas from customers who missed the signature sides and wings. The Potato Wedges, which were famously discontinued in 2020, have been a hot topic online for the past five years. The Hot & Spicy Wings, a more recent loss from the menu in 2023, also quickly became a highly requested item.
The company recently sparked a frenzy when it quietly reintroduced the wedges for a limited test run in Tampa, Florida. The overwhelming positive response and rapid sellouts confirmed what the company already suspected: there was a massive appetite for these classics.
What to Expect on the New Menu
The Potato Wedges will be available on their own as a side item or as a substitution for another side. The Hot & Spicy Wings will also be available for individual purchase.
For those who want to indulge in both classics, KFC is also introducing a new combo box: the “Wings & Wedges Fan Favorites Box.” This family-sized meal includes 10 Hot & Spicy Wings, 12 KFC Chicken Nuggets, a large side of Potato Wedges, four biscuits, and four dipping sauces.
This move marks a significant nod to customer nostalgia and a smart business decision to bring back two of the most popular items in the brand’s history. It seems KFC is ready to give the people what they want, proving that sometimes, the classics are too good to stay gone forever.
